Five Great Events from Palatka to Jacksonville


On Feb. 4, people that love the Ocklawaha and St. Johns Rivers and Silver Springs are coming together to celebrate, connect and take action to reunite the Great Florida Riverway by breaching the Rodman/Kirkpatrick Dam. It's not just one big reunion but a series of events from the headwaters of the Ocklawaha River at Lake Apopka to the confluence of the Ocklawaha and Silver Rivers near Silver Springs, to Palatka, near where the Ocklawaha and St. Johns Rivers unite, all the way to Jacksonville where the great riverway meets the Atlantic.

Feb. 4 Great Florida Riverway Line-up

10 am - Lake Apopka Facebook Live Launch at Magnolia Park, Headwaters of the Ocklawaha River

1-3 pm - FREE Reunite the Rivers Concert at Riverfront Amphitheater at Jacksonville University.

4-7 pm - Great Florida Riverway Reunion at Azalea City Brewing in Palatka

2-6 pm - FREE Family Fun Afternoon at the Ocala Boat Club near Silver Springs and

6-8 pm - Dinner, Program and Music at the Ocala Boat Club near Silver Springs ($20 per person)
